UpchurchStory.comThis website concerns the ongoing efforts of Robert Phillip Upchurch AKA Phil Upchurch to promote exchanges about the Upchurch Family world wide and especially in America. Essentially all white American Upchurches descend from Michael Upchurch born about 1624 in England. He migrated to America about 1638. Phil is of the 9th generation of the family started by this immigrant. Since 1980 he has published the UPCHURCH BULLETIN. Swift Creek Township
From an in depth study of The Upchurch Community in which he grew up Phil is preparing a history of Swift Creek Township in Wake County, North Carolina. Individuals having an interest in this subject and who might be willing to share information are invited to examine the Swift Creek Township History Component of this website.

The Upchurch Collection
Phil has established THE UPCHURCH COLLECTION at North Carolina State University and has started placing in the Collection his records involving a lifetime of professional and practical work in the field of Agriculture as well as personal memorabilia. Over time a large accumulation of Upchurch Family records will be added to the Collection. An endowment has been established at N.C. State University to support The Upchurch Collections.
